The Wood Division of Duratex S/A manufactures reconstituted wooden boards utilizing raw materials from reforestation activity.
In exercising this activity it focuses the environmental, social and economic sustainability through technological innovation, which ensures product quality, productivity and competitiveness in the markets where it operates; thus, contributing to improve the population quality of life.
With respect to environment issues the company assumes the following compromises:
- Follow the environment legislation and any other regulations subscribed by the Company with regard to environment matters;
- Prevent environment damage to happen as the result of its activities through the utilization of adequate environment technologies in process management and new products development;
- Establish permanent communication channels regarding environment issues with stakeholders;
- Create norms and register actions with regard to environment preservation in an audited and transparent way;
- Minimize the water and energy consumption;
- Promote environment training sessions directed to the internal and external personnel as a means to improve environment awareness targeting continuous improvement;
- Establish, review and accompany, annually, the environment objectives and targets set.
