Duratex wins the 2018 Ouvidorias Brasil Award
The company wins for the second year in a row, the only Building Supply company to receive the honor
Solidifying its status as the market leader in Brazil, Duratex has just received another accolade: the company is one of the recipients of the 2018 Ouvidorias Brasil Award, which acknowledges the work Brazilian companies’ ombudsman areas develop with their customers, suppliers, employees, and the government.
This is the second consecutive time Duratex wins the award, now in its seventh edition, the only Building Supply company to do so. That is because, unlike in other sectors, having an ombudsman is not mandatory in Duratex’s industry, which further demonstrates the company’s commitment and pioneering spirit in promoting a culture of dialogue with those it does business with, and strengthening the ethical posture that is intrinsically linked to the company’s purpose.
The company was recognized for its repositioning case, as it adopted a new ombudsman operation model in 2018 that improved its service channels. An evaluation commission formed by ABRAREC (Brazilian Association of Company-Customer Relations), which is responsible for the awards, selected the company.
“The changes we have implemented improved the safety for those who access our new channel and took our ombudsman governance to the next level,” explains Alline Tavares, executive responsible for Duratex’s ombudsman area.
She was also one of the speakers of Ouvidorias Brasil’s Forum, held in São Paulo. The company received the award during the 2018 Ouvidorias Brasil.
